The Inner Sanctum is at the heart of a 100 acre wooded retreat on the Edisto River. It is a place where people gather to share experiences, learn skills, renew energies and regain a sense of place in the natural world.
The retreat is a place of immense natural beauty under tall trees, tucked between the gentle, freshwater Edisto River and the Cypress-Tupelo swamp that borders it. Bird and animal life abound, fireflies light in spring, frogs and catydids sing at night, breezes continually rustle the leaves and the river gently flows, cooling the retreat in summer and offering swimming or canoeing year round.

We offer event coordinators and guests full use and enjoyment of comfortable, primitive facilities including two picnic shelters, a platform meeting and exercise tent, a half-acre pond, and cozy clearings for secluded camp sites.

It is so much fun to be able to offer this magical space to guests. As outdoor professionals during our working careers, we have always delighted in being able to share great outdoor spaces.
